How to use it
- Tap “Select PDF” and choose the file (up to 25 MB and 100 pages).
- Wait a few seconds while it is sent and converted.
- Tap “Download Word” and open it in Word, Google Docs or WPS Office.
What converts well
PDFs that were made on a computer — saved from Word, Google Docs or a website — contain real text, and that comes out as text you can edit, with paragraphs, fonts, colours, tables and images in place. Resumes, letters, notices and question papers made this way convert best.
What doesn't
- Scans and phone photos are pictures of pages with no text inside. The Word file will hold those pictures, not editable text — the tool tells you when that happens. Making text from a picture needs OCR.
- Very designed pages (posters, brochures, forms with many boxes) may shift a little and need tidying in Word.
- Hindi in Unicode converts, but the gaps between words sometimes go missing and need adding back. Hindi PDFs made with Kruti Dev turn into English letters — convert such text with Kruti Dev to Unicode.
- Password-protected PDFs: remove the password first with Unlock PDF (it runs on your device).
- More than 100 pages: split the PDF and convert the parts.
Only need small changes?
To add your name, a date, a tick or a signature, you don't need Word at all: Edit PDF and Sign PDF do it on your phone and keep the PDF exactly as it was.
What happens to your file
Almost every ToolDabba tool works inside your browser. Converting Office files needs real office software, which can't run in a browser, so this tool is the exception:
- Your file is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our own server in Helsinki, Finland (Hetzner).
- It is converted automatically by a program that has no internet access of its own — no person looks at it.
- The converted file is sent back to your phone or computer.
- Both files are deleted immediately. We keep only the time, the size and how long it took — never the name or content.
