How to use it
- Tap “Select PDF” and choose your file. Each page appears as a thumbnail.
- Choose how to split: “Extract” (tap the pages you want), “Every page”, or “Ranges” (type something like 1-3, 5, 8-10).
- Tap the split button. Extracting makes one new PDF; the other modes make several, bundled as a ZIP.
- Tap “Download” to save the result.
Why split a PDF?
Scanning everything in one go is quick, but forms often want each document separately — the marksheet in one box, the caste certificate in another. Splitting also helps when you need to send only one month of a bank statement, a single chapter of notes, or just the pages that matter so the file fits a size limit.
Three ways to split
| Mode | What you get | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Extract | One new PDF with the pages you tap | Pages 2 and 5 of a 10-page scan |
| Every page | One PDF per page, in a ZIP | A 12-page bundle becomes 12 files |
| Ranges | One PDF per range, in a ZIP | “1-3, 4, 7-10” makes 3 files |
When typing ranges, separate them with commas. Spaces are fine, and “7-” means “page 7 to the end”. The tool checks the ranges as you type and highlights the pages they include.
Every new file is named after your original plus the pages it holds — for example statement_pages-1-3.pdf or statement_page-4.pdf — so it's easy to pick the right one in each upload box. Your original PDF isn't changed.
Nothing is re-compressed
Pages are copied into the new files exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable and images keep their quality. The only exception is a protected PDF (one with copy/edit restrictions or a password): its pages are saved as high-quality images, and the tool tells you before you start.
What to do next
- A split file still too big for the portal? Shrink it with Compress PDF.
- Need to remove only a few pages and keep the rest together? Delete PDF Pages is quicker.
- Want to combine pages from different files? Split them, then join the parts with Merge PDF.
- Need a page as a picture? Use PDF to JPG.
Private by design
Splitting happens inside your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded, so marksheets, IDs and statements stay on your device.
