How to use it
- Choose the size — 3.5 × 4.5 cm is selected; bank-exam 200 × 230 px, US visa 2 × 2 inch and stamp size are also available.
- Tap “Select Photo” and pick a clear, front-facing photo.
- Drag and zoom so your face sits inside the oval. Turn on “Name & date” if your form asks for it.
- Tap “Download Photo”, or download a 4×6 inch / A4 sheet to print several copies at once.
What size is a passport size photo in India?
In India a “passport size photo” usually means 3.5 cm wide × 4.5 cm high (35 × 45 mm). At print quality (300 DPI) that is 413 × 531 pixels, which is exactly what this tool produces. It is the size asked for on most printed application forms, admit cards, ID cards and many visa applications.

Photos with name and date
Some recruitment exams ask for the candidate’s name and the date the photo was taken to be printed at the bottom of the photograph. Switch on Name & date, type both, and they are added in a clean white strip — the crop frame adjusts so your face still fits.
Print sheets that come out the right size
The 4 × 6 inch sheet fits the standard photo-print size at any studio or kiosk. The A4 sheet is a PDF, so it prints at the exact physical size on a home printer — just choose “Actual size” or “100%” (not “Fit to page”) in the print dialog. Thin grey borders show where to cut.
Tips for a photo that gets accepted
- Face the camera directly with a neutral expression and both ears visible where possible.
- Stand in front of a plain white or light wall, with soft, even light on your face.
- No caps or dark glasses. Remove spectacles if your form or embassy requires it.
