How to use it
- Tap “Select PDF” and choose the document you need to sign.
- Make your signature: draw it, type your name in a handwriting style, or choose a photo of your signature on white paper. Pick black or blue ink.
- Tap “Use this signature”. It appears on the page: drag it onto the signature line and drag the round handle to make it bigger or smaller.
- Use the arrows above the page to go to other pages. Tap your signature again to add it there, or add today's date.
- Tap “Save signed PDF”, then “Download PDF”.
Three ways to make your signature
- Draw it with your finger, a stylus or the mouse. The line gets thinner when you move fast and thicker when you go slow, like a real pen. Undo removes the last stroke.
- Type your name and pick one of two handwriting styles. Good when you don't have a steady hand or a touch screen. Typing works with English letters; for a Hindi signature, draw it or use a photo.
- Photo: sign on plain white paper, take a clear photo from straight above and choose it. The paper is removed and only the ink is kept, so the PDF's lines show through around your signature instead of a white patch.
All three come out in black or blue ink, on a transparent background.
Where you'll need it
- Rent and leave-and-licence agreements, and their renewal letters
- Offer letters, appointment letters and joining forms from HR
- Account opening, KYC update and nomination forms that the bank emails as PDFs
- College and school forms, undertakings, NOCs and self-declarations
- Vendor registration forms, quotations and work orders
Initials on every page
Agreements often need your initials on every page and a full signature on the last one. After placing your signature, tap New, choose Initials, and make them the same way. Place them in the corner of one page, then tap Put on every page: a copy lands in the same spot on every page. You can still move any single copy, or delete them all at once.
Is this a legal signature?
The tool adds a picture of your signature to the PDF, which is the same as signing a printout and scanning it back. Landlords, employers, colleges and many offices accept that for everyday paperwork. It is not a digital signature under the IT Act: that needs a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) or Aadhaar eSign. Where a portal or a rule asks for one, such as GST and company (MCA) filings or e-tenders, use your DSC or an eSign service instead. If you're not sure, ask whoever asked for the signed document.
Your PDF stays as it was
Your signature is drawn on top of the original pages, so the document's text stays sharp and selectable and its links and bookmarks keep working. Protected PDFs (with a password or copy/edit restrictions) are the one exception: they are saved as page images, and the tool tells you before you start.
More PDF tools
- Need to fill in the form too? Edit PDF adds text (in Hindi too), tick marks and photos.
- Need your signature as a small JPG for an exam form instead? Use Signature Resize.
- Signed file too big for the portal? Compress PDF.
Private by design
The PDF and your signature never leave your device. Everything happens inside your browser, nothing is uploaded, and your signature isn't saved: close the page and it's gone.
