How to use it

Rules for each document

Photograph

  • Official: “Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)”, “Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb”. “Photo uploaded should be of appropriate size and clearly visible.”
  • Printed size written “(4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)”; read here as 3.5 cm wide × 4.5 cm high (portrait).
  • Recent passport-style colour photo, light-coloured (preferably white) background; caps, hats and dark glasses not acceptable; religious headwear allowed if it does not cover the face.
  • Keep at least 8 copies of the same photograph.

Live photograph (webcam / mobile)

  • Required in addition to the uploaded photo, via webcam (“Capture Photo”) or phone (“Click here to Scan”). No pixel or KB limit is given.
  • Do: light-coloured, preferably white background with adequate light; look straight at the camera.
  • Don't: small size photograph; coloured glasses / sunglasses / cap.

Signature

  • Official: “Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)”, “Size of file should be between 10kb to 20kb”.
  • White paper, black ink pen. “Signature/ Hand-written declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.”
  • Mismatch with the signature at the exam = disqualification.

Left thumb impression

  • Official: “240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI … 3 cm x 3 cm (Width x Height)”, “File Size: 20 kb- 50 kb”, “jpg/jpeg”.
  • White paper with black or blue ink. No left thumb → right thumb may be used.

Hand-written declaration

  • Declaration text: “I,______(Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______, hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine”.
  • Write in English on white paper with black ink; NOT in CAPITAL LETTERS.

SBI Clerk declaration text

“I,______(Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______, hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine”

General instructions

  • Scanner: minimum 200 dpi, True Colour. Exam day: photo pasted on call letter plus two additional copies of the same photograph.
  • Annexure II is the same as SBI JA 2025 (CRPD/CR/2025-26/06) apart from numbering.

Where official sources disagree

  • Para 15A(b) prints the declaration without the comma after the date blank (“Date of Birth ______hereby declare”); Annexure-II has the comma. Wording is otherwise identical.
  • Pixel sizes are “(preferred)”; KB ranges are what the form enforces.
