  • Works on any phone

How to use it

  1. Tap the document you want to prepare — each one is already set to the size in the official notification.
  2. Select a photo or scan from your phone. For the signature, thumb or declaration, the paper is cleaned to white and cropped automatically.
  3. Check the preview: the size and KB shown must be inside the official range.
  4. Download the JPG and upload it to the IBPS PO application form. Your live photo is taken inside the form itself.

Rules for each document

Photograph

  • Official: “Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)” and “Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb”.
  • Printed size is written “(4.5cm × 3.5cm)” without saying which is width; read here as 3.5 cm wide × 4.5 cm high (portrait), and 200 px wide × 230 px high.
  • “Photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture … taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.”
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face; no squinting or harsh shadows; no red-eye; if you wear glasses, no reflections and eyes clearly visible.
  • “Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.”
  • Format comes from the general scanning rule: “The image file should be JPG or JPEG format.”
  • Keep copies of the same photo for later stages and do not change your appearance until selection is over — failure to produce the same photograph or doubt about identity can lead to disqualification.

Live photograph (webcam / mobile)

  • Required in addition to the uploaded photo: “Capture Photo” uses the webcam, “Click here to Scan” lets you use your phone via QR code. No pixel or KB limit is given — it is captured in the form.
  • Do: light-coloured, preferably white background with adequate light; look straight at the camera; passport-size framing.
  • Don't: small photo; coloured glasses / sunglasses / cap; shadow on face, not facing the camera, distorted face, mask, blurred image; dark or improper background.

Signature

  • Official: “Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)” and “Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb”. No cm/DPI stated.
  • “The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.”
  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS is NOT accepted.
  • Must be the candidate's own signature. If the signature on the call letter / attendance sheet at the exam does not match the uploaded one, the candidate is disqualified.

Left thumb impression

  • Official: “240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e. 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height)”, “File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB”.
  • Put the left thumb impression on white paper with black or blue ink.
  • No left thumb → right thumb. Both thumbs missing → a left-hand finger starting from the forefinger, then a right-hand finger, then the left toe. In such cases write in the uploaded document which finger / hand / toe was used.

Hand-written declaration

  • Declaration text: “I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
  • Write it in English, in your own handwriting, clearly on white paper with black ink. Text must NOT be in CAPITAL LETTERS; written by someone else or in another language = application invalid.
  • Candidates who cannot write may get the text typed and put their left thumb impression below it.
  • If the handwriting is later found dissimilar on expert analysis, candidature is cancelled.

SSC / SSLC / 10th or equivalent certificate

  • “Document must be in PDF format.” “Page size of the document to be A4.” “Size of the file should not be exceeding 500 KB.” No minimum stated.

IBPS PO declaration text

“I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Write it in your own handwriting in English, not in capital letters, then use the Declaration tab above.

General instructions

  • Scanner: “Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi” and “Set Colour to True Colour”; crop to the edge of the photo / signature / thumb / declaration before uploading.
  • Photograph, signature, left thumb impression, hand-written declaration and the 10th certificate are all required — the application is not registered without them.
  • If the face / signature / thumb / declaration is unclear or smudged the application may be rejected. Uploading a document in the wrong slot = not allowed to appear for the exam.
  • Photo and biometric data (thumb) are captured and matched at exam stages; do not change your appearance from the uploaded / captured photo.
  • Upload specs are in Annexure III “Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Documents” (PDF pp. 39–43). Corrigenda of 20.07.2026, 07.08.2026 and 27.08.2026 do not change them.
  • Same numbers as the previous cycle (CRP PO/MT-XV, 2025).

Where these numbers come from

Every value on this page is taken from the official Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) documents below. If a newer notification is out, it takes priority.

Where official sources disagree

  • Pixel sizes are labelled “(preferred)”; the KB ranges are the hard limits the form enforces.
  • Photo: “200 x 230” and “4.5cm × 3.5cm” are not labelled width × height, and their aspect ratios differ (0.87 vs 0.78). Thumb and declaration sizes are explicitly “(Width * Height)”.

Next update: Next cycle (CRP PO/MT-XVII) expected around July 2027.
