How to use it
- Tap the document you want to prepare — each one is already set to the size in the official notification.
- Select a photo or scan from your phone. For the signature, thumb or declaration, the paper is cleaned to white and cropped automatically.
- Check the preview: the size and KB shown must be inside the official range.
- Download the JPG and upload it to the RBI Assistant application form. Your live photo is taken inside the form itself.

Rules for each document
Photograph
- Official: “Photograph Image (4.5cm × 3.5cm)”, “Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)”, “Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb”.
- Read here as 3.5 cm wide × 4.5 cm high and 200 px wide × 230 px high (not labelled in the source).
- Recent passport-style colour picture, light-coloured (preferably white) background; caps, hats and dark glasses not acceptable; religious headwear allowed if it does not cover the face.
Live photograph (webcam / mobile)
- Required in addition to the uploaded photo: “Capture Photo” uses the webcam, “Click here to Scan” lets you use your phone via QR code. No pixel or KB limit is given — it is captured in the form.
- Do: light-coloured, preferably white background with adequate light; look straight at the camera; passport-size framing.
- Don't: small photo; coloured glasses / sunglasses / cap; shadow on face, not facing the camera, distorted face, mask, blurred image; dark or improper background.
Signature
- Official: “Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)”, “Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb for signature”.
- Sign on white paper with a black ink pen. Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS NOT accepted. Mismatch at the exam = disqualification.
Left thumb impression
- Official: “240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e. 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height)”, “File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB”, “jpg/ jpeg”.
- White paper with black or blue ink.
Hand-written declaration
- Declaration text: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
- English only, own handwriting, white paper, black ink; NOT in CAPITAL LETTERS. Written by someone else or in another language = application invalid.
- Visually impaired candidates who cannot write may upload the typed declaration with their left thumb impression below it.
RBI Assistant declaration text
“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
Write it in your own handwriting in English, not in capital letters, then use the Declaration tab above.
General instructions
- Scanner: minimum 200 dpi, True Colour; “The image file should be JPG or JPEG format.” Upload guidance is para 9.6 of the advertisement.
- Exam day: affix a recent recognisable photograph on the call letter, preferably the same as uploaded. Biometric data may be captured.
