How to use it
- Read the upload rules below — the notification doesn't fix a pixel or KB size for these files.
- Prepare each item exactly as described there, then scan it or photograph it flat in good light.
- If the form says the file is too large, shrink it with the Compress Image tool.
- Upload it to the MP Police Constable application form.

Rules for each document
Photo + signature + two handwritten lines on the printed template (one JPG)
- Official (para 2.20(iv)): “ऑनलाईन आवेदन-पत्र के साथ फोटो, हस्ताक्षर एवं हस्तलिपि की दो लाईनों की एक इमेज तैयार करने हेतु Link के माध्यम से प्रारूप मुद्रित कर उसमें यथास्थान हस्तलिपि की दो लाईनें, फोटो तथा हस्ताक्षर कर उसे स्केन कर jpg फार्मेट में ही कम्प्यूटर में सेव करें” — print the template from the link in the form, paste your photo, sign and write the two lines in their places, scan it and save it as JPG only.
- Para 2.16(i): “जिसमें फोटो ऊपरी भाग में तथा हस्ताक्षर नीचे के भाग में होगें।” — photo in the upper part, signature in the lower part.
- The rulebook gives NO pixel, cm or KB limit for this image.
- Signature, para 2.16(viii): “लघु हस्ताक्षर, अंग्रेजी के केपिटल अक्षरों में हस्ताक्षर अथवा एक से अधिक हस्ताक्षर मान्य नहीं होंगे।” — no short/initial signature, no English CAPITAL letters, only one signature. Use the same signature at the exam hall, counselling / selection and admission (2.16(x)).
- Para 2.15(vi): the declaration below must be written in your own handwriting and uploaded: “मैं घोषणा करता/करती हूँ कि मेरे द्वारा आवेदन में दी गई समस्त जानकारी पूर्णतः सत्य है। यदि मेरे द्वारा दी गई जानकारी किसी भी स्तर पर झूठी या पात्रता मापदंड की आवश्यकताओं के अनुसार संतोषजनक नहीं पाई जाती है, तो मेरी उम्मीदवारी रद्द की जा सकती है।”
- Para 2.16(ix): a missing or unclear photo / signature / handwriting makes the application invalid.
Printed colour photograph pasted on the template
- Para 2.16(i): “फोटोग्राफ अच्छी गुणवत्ता एवं पृष्ठभाग (background) सफेद होना चाहिये।” — good quality, white background.
- Para 2.16(v): “फोटोग्राफ आवेदन भरने की तिथि से तीन माह से अधिक पुराना नहीं होना चाहिये तथा फोटोग्राफ पर फोटो खिंचवाने की दिनांक व आवेदक के नाम का स्पष्ट उल्लेख होना चाहिये।” — not older than 3 months, with the photo date and your name clearly written on it.
- Para 2.16(ii)–(iii): Polaroid photos not accepted; taken from the front with both ears clearly visible.
- Para 2.16(vi): if you use reading glasses, wear them in the photo; photos with dark glasses are not accepted. Appear at the exam with the same beard / clean-shave look as the photo.
- Para 2.16(vii): the same photo is used at counselling / selection — keep at least 5 copies.
Date-of-birth proof (8th / 10th / 12th marksheet)
- Para 2.15(ii): “आवेदक की जन्मतिथि के प्रमाण हेतु आठवी/दसवी अथवा बारहवी की अंकसूची।” Scanned and attached; no format or size stated.
Caste / category, reservation and bonus-mark certificates (e.g. NCC)
- Para 2.15(iii)–(v): SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate from the competent authority, other reservation / relaxation certificates, and bonus-mark certificates such as NCC. No format or size stated.
MP Police Constable declaration text
“मैं घोषणा करता/करती हूँ कि मेरे द्वारा आवेदन में दी गई समस्त जानकारी पूर्णतः सत्य है। यदि मेरे द्वारा दी गई जानकारी किसी भी स्तर पर झूठी या पात्रता मापदंड की आवश्यकताओं के अनुसार संतोषजनक नहीं पाई जाती है, तो मेरी उम्मीदवारी रद्द की जा सकती है।”

General instructions
- Apply through MPOnline (esb.mponline.gov.in). A profile registration with Aadhaar eKYC is required before the application form.
- Para 2.15: without the listed scanned documents the application is not accepted.
- Para 2.25: MPOnline and then the Board check the photo, signature and handwriting against the rulebook; errors or unclear images lead to rejection without further correspondence.
- Exam day: original photo ID (voter ID, PAN, Aadhaar, driving licence or passport) and multi-level biometric verification.
- Both 2026 constable rulebooks (GD and Driver) carry identical photo / signature paragraphs.
Where these numbers come from
Every value on this page is taken from the official Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal documents below. If a newer notification is out, it takes priority.

Where official sources disagree
- No KB, pixel or DPI figure appears in either rulebook, and the MPOnline pages readable without logging in show none. Sizes quoted on resizer sites are not official.
- Para 2.15(vi) asks for the declaration text in your handwriting, while para 2.20(iv) speaks of “two lines of handwriting” on the template. The rulebook does not say in so many words that these are the same text; follow whatever the printed template asks for.
