How to use it
- Tap the document you want to prepare — each one is already set to fit the official rules.
- Select a photo or scan from your phone. For the signature, thumb or declaration, the paper is cleaned to white and cropped automatically.
- Check the preview: the size and KB shown must be inside the official range.
- Download the JPG and upload it to the BPSC CCE application form. Your live photo is taken inside the form itself.

Rules for each document
Live photograph (webcam, in OTR)
- OTR Step 6: “इस चरण में आवेदक को एक वेब कैमरा की आवश्यकता होगी, जिससे वे अपना लाइव फोटो कैप्चर करेंगे” — no photo file is uploaded.
- Portal instructions for the live photo: “Size of live photograph must be less than 35 kb.” “Width of live photograph must be between 150 pixel and 220 pixel.” “Height of live photograph must be between 250 pixel and 320 pixel.” The portal captures it, so there is nothing to resize.
- 72nd CCE advertisement: use a good-quality webcam, a white / light-coloured background and sufficient light (“Background सफेद/हल्के रंग का हो एवं पर्याप्त रोशनी (Sufficient Light) उपलब्ध हो”).
- “If your live photo is not identifiable then your application form will rejected.”
Signature in English
- Portal (OTR profile page, English and Hindi): “1. Size of Sign must be less than 20 kb.” “2. Width of Sign must be between 250 pixel and 320 pixel.” “3. Height of Sign must be between 150 pixel and 220 pixel.” / “(हस्ताक्षर की चौड़ाई 250 px और 320 px के बीच होनी चाहिए)”.
- One English and one Hindi signature are uploaded separately in OTR Step 6 (“एक अंग्रेजी और एक हिंदी हस्ताक्षर अपलोड करना होगा”). Keep each one under 15 KB to satisfy every official BPSC text.
- “If your Sign is not identifiable then your application form will rejected.” The 72nd CCE advertisement asks for a “सुस्पष्ट एवं पठनीय” (clear and readable) scan.
- Format: the 72nd CCE advertisement says “.jpg/jpeg format”; the portal's file check also accepts PNG.

- “ऑनलाइन आवेदन भरते समय अभ्यर्थियों को सभी संबंधित प्रमाण-पत्र/कागजात को PDF Format में निर्धारित स्थान पर अपलोड करना आवश्यक है।” Education documents can also come through DigiLocker.
General instructions
- One Time Registration (OTR) at bpsconline.bihar.gov.in is compulsory for every BPSC exam; candidates who registered on the old portal must do the OTR again on the new one.
- Profile creation has six steps; Step 6 is live photo + signatures + Profile Lock. After the profile is locked and an application submitted, entries for that advertisement cannot be changed.
- The OTR opens DigiLocker (Meri Pehchan); documents already in your DigiLocker can be linked to the BPSC portal (OAMS) from there.
- Upload rules are in para 11 (“विस्तृत निर्देश”, p. 10) and “C. Instructions for Profile Creation”, Step 6 (p. 11).
- Corrigenda of 2026 removed 44 Sugarcane Officer posts and 2 DSP posts; they do not change the upload rules.
Where these numbers come from
Every value on this page is taken from the official Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) documents below. If a newer notification is out, it takes priority.

Where official sources disagree
- Signature pixels: the advertisements' Step 6 says “हस्ताक्षर फोटो का आकार 20kb से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए एवं Width 150–220 Pixel के बीच और Height 250–320 Pixel के बीच होनी चाहिए” — a portrait shape. The portal's own instructions (English and Hindi) give 150–220 × 250–320 px to the PHOTOGRAPH and 250–320 px wide × 150–220 px high to the SIGNATURE. The portal's numbers are used here; the advertisement appears to have copied the photo size.
- The 72nd CCE advertisement's checklist also says “हिन्दी एवं अंग्रेजी हस्ताक्षर का Scanned Image (.jpg/jpeg format, अधिकतम 15KB size एवं dimension 220*100 pixel में)”. 220 × 100 px does not fit the portal's 250–320 × 150–220 px, so no single pixel size satisfies every BPSC text.
- Portal limits were read from the portal's instruction text (in its JavaScript); the page itself needs a login, and the live KB limit is set on the server (the code's fallback is photo 50 KB / signature 15 KB; the hard-coded signature check rejects files over 20,480 bytes).
- Within this advertisement the signature limit is given twice: “अधिकतम 15KB size” (para 11 checklist) and “20kb से अधिक नहीं” (Step 6). The 15 KB limit satisfies both.
- Documents: the advertisement says PDF up to 100 KB; the portal's generic hint says “Please select a document less than or equal to 150KB.” 100 KB satisfies both.
