Rules for each document

Colour photograph with your name and the photo date written on it

  • Official (para 8.5): “Candidates are advised to upload scanned latest coloured photograph with white background. Ensure that the name of candidate and the date on which the photograph was taken are clearly mentioned on the photograph.”
  • Chapter 9 upload list (every category): “Latest Scanned coloured photograph with white background clearly mentioned date and name of the candidate on the photograph.”
  • The advertisement gives NO pixel, cm, KB or file-format limit for the photo.

Signature

  • Chapter 9 upload list: “Scanned Signature of the Candidate.” No size, KB, format or ink colour is stated in the advertisement.

Matriculation (10th) certificate

  • “Scanned Copy of Matriculation Certificate” — mandatory for every category. No format or size stated.
  • Para 8.4: scan from the original document so the whole document is visible; “If any certificate is printed on both sides, then both sides should be scanned and uploaded.”

Category / reservation certificates (Haryana bonafide resident, DSC/OSC, BC-A/BC-B, EWS, ESM, PwBD, sports, etc.)

  • Only for candidates claiming that category. No format or size stated.
  • Issue-date rules from the advertisement: BC-A / BC-B / EWS certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026; DSC / OSC certificate issued after 13.11.2024; PwBD and ESP certificates issued before the closing date; ESM family-member eligibility certificate issued/renewed on or after 20.06.2025 — all on or before the closing date.

Undertaking (Annexure VIII)

  • Para 8.2: an undertaking against multiple registrations “has to be uploaded by the candidates as per performa annexed as Annexure –VIII.” No format or size stated.

Signed copy of the application form

  • Para 8.6: “Candidate must submit /upload signed copy of application form at the time of final submission of application form.” No format or size stated.

General instructions

  • Apply on the One Time Registration portal onetimeregn.haryana.gov.in (linked from hssc.gov.in as “Apply for CET Group D-05/2026”). Candidates registered for CET 1/2022 or CET 1/2025 reuse the same CET registration number.
  • Para 8.7: “Only scanned documents uploaded with application form shall be considered for deciding the eligibility criteria.” Documents not uploaded with the form are not considered later.
  • Biometric (thumb or facial) data is taken at the examination; a mismatch at any later stage cancels candidature on the ground of impersonation.
  • Advt. No. 06/2026 (CET Phase-II, Group-C) repeats the same photo and signature wording; its undertaking is Annexure V.

Where these numbers come from

Every value on this page is taken from the official Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) documents below. If a newer notification is out, it takes priority.

Where official sources disagree

  • No official file-size, pixel or format limit was found for 2026. The OTR portal returned HTTP 503 on 24.10.2026, so its upload screen could not be read.
  • Older official guidance, NOT used as limits here: the OTR portal user manual (document created 01.04.2021; archived copy of 23.03.2025) shows the upload box text “Only .jpg Files of maximum size 500KB are allowed.” for both photo and signature; and a CET-2022 notice (31.10.2022) asked candidates with improper photos to upload “the latest photograph in colour and of the size of 2 inch x 2 inch”. Neither is restated in the 2026 advertisements.
  • Resizer and coaching sites quote 20–50 KB, 40–150 KB, 10–20 KB and other figures — none comes from an HSSC document.

Next update: Re-check when the OTR portal is reachable again and when the CET Group-D 05/2026 exam schedule or the next CET advertisement is published.
