Compress PDF to 100KB

The tightest common limit for PDF uploads. Select your PDF and get a file of 100 KB or less — best for one- or two-page documents.

  • 100% private
  • Free · no signup
  • Works on any phone

How to use it

  1. 100 KB is already selected — just tap “Select PDF” and choose your file.
  2. Turn on “Black & white” if the document is mostly text: the file gets smaller and the text cleaner.
  3. Wait while each page is compressed to fit 100 KB — you'll see the progress page by page.
  4. Check the new size and tap “Download PDF”.

Where is a 100 KB PDF needed?

Some recruitment, scholarship and admission portals limit each document — caste, income, EWS, domicile or disability certificates, NOCs and ID proofs — to about 100 KB. Limits differ between portals and change from year to year, so always check the exact figure in the official notification.

How much fits in 100 KB?

The size budget is shared by every page, so the number of pages decides how sharp each one can be. Simple arithmetic shows why one-page documents work best:

PagesSpace per pageWhat to expect
1about 100 KBClear, even in colour
2about 50 KBReadable; Black & white recommended
3 – 425 – 33 KBUse Black & white and check small print
5 or moreunder 20 KBText may blur — upload only the pages you need

Tips for a readable 100 KB PDF

  • Turn on Black & white for typed or printed documents — paper becomes pure white and costs almost nothing.
  • Scan or photograph only the document, without the table around it, and remove blank back pages.
  • If the form also accepts JPG for this document, a single image may look sharper — try Compress Image to 100 KB.
  • Allowed a little more? 200 KB gives every page twice the room.

Why is my PDF over 100 KB in the first place?

Phone cameras and scanner apps save every page as a high-resolution colour photo — perfect for printing, but far more detail than an online form needs. Even a well-compressed page of that kind is usually several hundred KB. To reach 100 KB the page is redrawn at a lower resolution, which still keeps printed text readable on screen.

Check before you upload

  • Open the downloaded PDF and zoom in on your name, roll number and certificate number — they must be readable.
  • Make sure every page is there and the right way up.
  • Some portals reject file names with spaces or symbols. If yours does, rename the file to something simple such as caste_certificate.pdf.

Frequently asked questions

How do I reduce a PDF to 100 KB?

Open this page — 100 KB is already selected — tap “Select PDF” and choose your file. Each page is compressed until the whole PDF is 100 KB or slightly less. Then tap “Download PDF” and upload it to the form.

My PDF has 5 pages. Can it fit in 100 KB?

Often yes, especially with Black & white turned on, but each page gets less than 20 KB, so small text can look soft. Open the result and check it. If it isn't readable, upload only the pages the form needs or check whether a larger size is allowed.

Why does my 100 KB PDF look blurry?

100 KB is very little space for a full page, so the tool has to lower the resolution. Turning on Black & white usually helps the most, because clean white paper takes almost no space and more is left for the text.

Will the compressed PDF be accepted on exam and government portals?

Yes. The result is a standard PDF that opens everywhere, and it is kept at or just under the size you choose. Always check the size limit and the list of required documents in the official notification for your exam or application.

Is it safe? Is my PDF uploaded?

Your PDF is never uploaded. ToolDabba compresses it inside your own browser, so the file never leaves your phone or computer and nothing is stored on our servers. That matters for documents like marksheets, ID proofs and bank papers.
