How to use it

  1. JPG is already selected — tap “Select Images” and choose one or more HEIC files.
  2. Each image is converted in a second, right on your device.
  3. Tap “Download” for one file, or “Download all as ZIP” for many.

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the default photo format on iPhones. It saves space, but Windows, many Android apps and almost every online application portal can't read it. Converting to JPG makes your photos usable everywhere.

How this works on Windows and Android

Safari can open HEIC natively. On Chrome, Edge and Android, the first time you add a HEIC photo this page downloads a small HEIC decoder (about 3 MB) that runs entirely on your device — your photos are still never uploaded.

Tip: on iPhone you can also set Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible to save new photos as JPG.

JPG vs PNG vs WebP — which should you use?

FormatBest forTransparencyFile size
JPGPhotos, exam & job formsNoSmall
PNGLogos, screenshots, text, signatures with transparencyYesLarge
WebPWebsites and appsYesSmallest

Most government and bank portals accept only JPG/JPEG for photos and signatures. Need it under a size limit too? Use Compress Image to KB after converting.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert HEIC to JPG on Windows?

Open this page in Chrome or Edge, select your HEIC photos and download the JPGs (or a ZIP). No software install or upload is needed.

Why does the first HEIC conversion take a few seconds?

Browsers other than Safari can't read HEIC, so a decoder is downloaded once (about 3 MB). After that, conversions are quick.

Will the photo keep its orientation?

Yes. The rotation saved by your iPhone is applied, so the JPG appears the right way up.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion happens inside your browser, so your photos never leave your phone or computer — handy for personal documents and ID photos.
