How to use it
- Pick the photo size your form asks for — 3.5 × 4.5 cm, 200 × 230 px and more — and a file-size limit.
- Tap “Select Photo” and choose a clear, front-facing photo.
- Type your name and the date the photo was taken; they appear in a white strip under the photo.
- Drag and zoom so your face sits inside the oval, then tap “Download Photo”.
Which forms ask for name and date on the photo?
Several recruitment exams — including some state police and staff selection forms, and many offline application forms — have asked for a recent photograph with the candidate's name and the date of taking the photo printed at the bottom. The idea is to prove the photo is recent. Check your exam's notification: it says whether this is needed and how old the photo may be.
How the name and date are added
- The text is printed in a clean white strip inside the photo, in bold black letters that stay readable after compression.
- Long names shrink automatically to fit the width.
- The crop frame adjusts so your face still fits above the strip.
- Today's date is filled in for you — change it to the day the photo was actually taken.
Tips
- Write the name exactly as in your application (usually in capital letters).
- Use the date format your notification shows, for example DD-MM-YYYY.
- Use a plain light background and even light on your face.
- Need just a plain photo? Use Passport Size Photo or Compress Image to 50 KB.
